hello!
today was an amazing day, a very long trip to ART STAGE SINGAPORE!
A massive amount of art, artists and artworks from all over the world regrouped in ONE place for an event of four days.
My eyes were pleased to see Wim Delvoye (YES! Finally seeing one of his works and completely devastated i am.), Chen Jiagang's photographs, Yim Tae Kyu, Kamin Lertchaiprasert, the fabulous and oniric installation work of Takashi Kuribayashi, playful paper cut of Gao Mingyan, genious idea of Mai Yamashita and Naoto Kobayashi on "How to make a mountain sculpture" and of course, a lot others that i cant remember right now.
One amazing, incredible thing happened also today..YES, WE MET YOSHITOMO NARA.
Unbelievable great japanese artist and yes, if you dont know him yet, you should definitely check him out. I can still feel the heartbeats of this naive question "excuse me, are you.. yoshitomo nara?"
Lucky experience. THOSE HANDS MADE THOSE PAINTINGS. THOSE HANDS OF THIS MAN STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. "Come to our schoooool!"
Anyway! Tomorrow's my school OPEN HOUSE! Singapore readers (if there is?) you may come and visit us! I'll be teaching at the book binding workshop yes! Just right next to the Silk screen painting workshop! Exciting, YES itwillbe.
And to talk about my drawing of the day, I have recently started muay thai! Here's a very fast sketch of my new gloves!
Take care and see you soon.
